RC Vision is a mission-locked social venture using radio control racing to help young people develop critical-thinking capabilities, recognise their strengths and build confidence in their ability to shape what comes next.
Explore what we doSee our impact →Too many young people are interested in science, technology and making, yet do not see technical learning—or the futures it can open—as being for people like them.
We create experiences that give young people something stronger than encouragement: evidence of their own capability. They leave having diagnosed problems, tested ideas, worked with others and adapted when things changed.
Radio control racing is exciting, social and immediately understandable. It invites participation before a young person has decided whether they are “good at STEM”.
Once they are involved, the car becomes a responsive learning system. Every decision produces feedback. Every failure creates a new question. Improvement depends on observation, reasoning, collaboration and iteration.
The activity is memorable. The capability travels.
Our pedagogy draws on embodied cognition, Engineering Habits of Mind, STEM identity research and career management skills.
We design for young people who have been underserved or excluded—not as an afterthought, but from the beginning.
Skilled adults help learners notice, name and transfer the capabilities revealed through the activity.
We prepare young people to navigate change, rather than prescribing one fixed occupation or pathway.
Schools and partners receive a professionally managed experience with practical requirements handled clearly.
Belonging, curiosity, hobbies and shared achievement are part of how learning and confidence grow.
RC Vision CIC works with schools, employers, councils, communities and funders across the UK. As an asset-locked social venture, value is reinvested to extend opportunity and deepen impact.
RC Vision was founded by Andy Hyde, bringing together experience in marketing, technology, social enterprise, motorcycle racing and race engineering. The idea was simple: use a genuinely compelling activity to create the conditions in which young people can discover how capable they are.
Whether you lead a school, employ a future technical workforce or fund opportunity, we can help turn shared intent into a practical programme.
